\"Victorian<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Concept<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n

‘Victorian Dream’ is an inspiration style shoot created to celebrate the dreamy and romantic 1900s wedding theme, with a modern twist. Inspired by the Victorian Era and the influential classic ‘Picnic at Hanging Rock’, the shoot includes countless vintage styling influences.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The Colour Palette<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n

Matching the ethereal aesthetic of the shoot, the colour palette is light,\u00a0classic and timeless with soft tones of ivory, blush, daisy, beige, green and burgundy. The colour theme remains very soft throughout, asides from the introduction of two bolder, yet classic and preppy colours – rich green (found in the tartan suit and bowtie), and the prestigious burgundy (found in the second suit and heritage bricks).<\/p>\n

\"Colour<\/p>\n

The Location<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n

Rippon Lea Estate is a heritage-listed estate built in 1868 by Frederick Sargood. The venue is Australia’s last suburban 19th century estate. Rippon Lea was the perfect venue choice for ‘Victorian Dream’ style shoot as it matched the overall Victorian theme, and was actually used in the recent remake of the classic ‘Picnic at Hanging Rock’. The scenes from the shoot were captured in the ‘Drawing Room’, ‘Conservatory’ and ‘Pool Area’ from the mansion, while the outdoor scenes were captured within the 14 acres of gardens within the estate.<\/p>\n

\"Rippon<\/p>\n

The Gowns<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n

Stylistically fitting within the 1900s’ design theme, we chose gowns that featured romantic sheer materials, frill detailings, bishop sleeves and of course, the signature Victorian high neck.
The first gown was the ‘Vivian’ wedding dress by Jason Grech, featuring the sprinkling of dainty Swarovski crystals throughout the gown. The second gown used for the outdoor scenes was the ‘Piece 20’ by L’ETO Bridal, featuring breathtaking angel wing sleeves.<\/p>\n

\"Victorian<\/p>\n

The Jewellery<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

The stunning jewellery used throughout the shoot by Franco Jeweller included timeless designs, including vintage style engagement rings and classic drop pearl earrings. The groom can also be spotted wearing a preppy-style leather watch, and a unique black and silver wedding band.<\/p>\n

The Suits<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n

Standing out of the crowd, the groom wore two preppy and prestigious suit designs by Half Past 8. The first look included a beige blazer with green patterned sleeves and details, paired with a rich green tartan bow tie. For the second look, the groom wore a burgundy vest, bow tie and a 1900s inspired burgundy pinstriped jacket.<\/p>\n

\"Victorian<\/p>\n

The Make-up<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n

There’s no room for error when it comes to the make up theme of this gorgeous era. The bride had to look natural and innocent, so we styled her two different soft make-up looks including rosey and peach tones. She also wore some natural individual eyelashes to make the her eyes ‘pop’ with the gentle and romantic make-up.<\/p>\n

The Hair<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n

The lovely bride wore three different feminine bridal hair looks throughout the shoot. She starts her day indoors with loose romantic waves, half tied up with a generously big velvet black bow. As she heads outdoors, she lets her hair loose, removing her velvet bow. For her romantic picnic, she styles her hair into an updo, featuring fishtail pailting and baby’s breath weaved into her hair. For her final look, she wears her hair in an updo bun, tied together again with a lush black velvet ribbon.<\/p>\n

The Flowers<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n

For this theme, it was all about keeping the bouquet simple and understated. The small bouquet included soft sunkissed daisies and dainty baby’s breath.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The Catering<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

The guests at this reception feasted their eyes on a range of appetizing traditional Victorian and British-influenced dishes including classic scones, jam and cream, tea, biscuits, tarts, strawberry and other fine desserts.<\/p>\n

The Invitations<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

Wedding Invitations<\/a><\/strong> used for this theme included one of our latest designs boasting timeless blind embossing and black font printed on plush cotton stock and tied together with a black ribbon. The ceremony cards were created using a gorgeous handheld fan design, holding all the stationery cards within the one fan, and tied together with tassel tieback.<\/p>\n

\"Blind<\/p>\n

The Props<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

Throughout the shoot, you will notice a range of vintage-inspired props to complete the look. This includes a white lace parasol, lace gloves, fine china and crockery, picnic basket, antique brushes and mirrors, straw hat, quill and antique books.\u00a0Can you spot them all?<\/p>\n
