2019 Bridal hair trends, according to celebrity stylist
Getting married in 2019? Hoping to find the latest in what’s hot and what’s not for 2019, we sought a celebrity stylist to dish the latest bridal hair trends for 2019.
We spoke to Tiffany Thurtell, the creative director at Alan Buki hair (celebrity hairdresser that has worked on the hair of Miranda Kerr, Madonna, Richard Branson, Margot Robbie and Sonia Kruger), and we soon came to realise that the relaxed, undone and bohemian vibe hair we found throughout 2018 was over. This is because 2019 has brought the standards up a notch, bringing a touch of glam into the mix.
Tiffany explains, “The biggest wedding trend we have seen coming into 2019 is hair accessories. Hair throughout 2018 became so undone and relaxed giving a very bohemian vibe. Moving into 2019, hair is still looking relaxed with glossy loose waves. However it is becoming more polished with a glam/luxe vibe. The use of hair accessories is very on trend. Being a hair scarf, hair clips, diamond hair pins.” Another trend we have found to be huge is the use of gorgeous ponytails, we have found this throughout the award season and bridal fashion week, and Tiffany totally agrees saying, “Ponytails are also on trend with extensions being used to create a much fuller, textured look. Brides also being able to use extension ponytails for multiple hair looks on their special day”.
